This painting goes back to the early 1970's just before the amalgamation of Galt, Preston and Hespeler into the City of Cambridge. Hespeler was the smallest of the 3 communities and it did have an exit off of the Highway 401. (Photo reference courtesy City of Cambridge Archives)
